When I
began my journey into Tarotmania back in 1999, I really had no idea
where it would take me.
The journey has led me to
15th century Italy and on through 18th
century France, 19th century England, to 21st century America.
My
study of tarot began as a
simple curiosity about the symbolism of the cards. The more I
learned, the more I became intrigued by the entire subject.
One
tidbit that piqued my interest was a poem about an unusual set of cards
by a 15th century Italian poet. Eventually I went looking for
more information on this and was unable to find very much about it in
English. I finally found a full Italian version of the poem
and
decided to start learning Italian and translate it myself.
Along
the way I found a few others that were interested in this poem
too. I started putting up my work on a web page to share what
I
was doing with them. The work continues slowly and the site
will
continue to grow with various tarot items. In the mean time
I'll
keep on truckin' down the road that is tarot.
I've
created a Yahoo Group for
tarot discussion. All aspects of tarot may be discussed in,
hopefully, an intelligent manner. All are welcome, but, it is
not
a new age, pagan, or occult oriented group. If your
interested in
joining in the group can be found here: Tarot

I also have a blog on Live Journal here: Jane's
